Rensselaer School of Architecture continues its Spring 2022 Lecture Series this Thursday February 24th at 6:30pm with the online lecture “Mute Icons and Other Dichotomies of the Real in Architecture” by Marcelo Spina.
Spina and Georgina Huljich founded P-A-T-T-E-R-N-S in 1999, an architectural design practice based in Los Angeles that have gained international recognition for its subtle approach to architecture — one that seamlessly integrates advanced technology within an extensive consideration of form, novel tectonics, and innovative materials.
With an intensive global practice and working across multiple scales, programs, and cultures, the office completed projects in the US, South America, and Asia. Its work was exhibited and published worldwide, most notably at the Venice Biennale in Italy, the Art Institute of Chicago, San Francisco MOMA, and Vienna MAK Museum, where their work is also part of the permanent collections.
