Rensselaer Architecture among Best in the Country
2019 Design Intelligence Survey:
Rensselaer School of Architecture receives High Ranking.
Our Bachelor of Architecture program has retained its standing as 14th in the nation, in this year’s DesignIntelligence survey of the “Most Admired Architecture Schools.” In addition, in the category of Schools with 70-99 graduates, our School ranked 6th in the nation for “Most Hired from Architecture Schools.”
The B. Architecture program scored high in 5 of the 12 focus areas studied by DesignIntelligence:

Additionally, two of the School of Architecture’s faculty leaders were listed among the year’s “Most Admired Educators.” Prof. David Bell, who is a senior faculty member and has served as Acting Associate Dean, was honored for, “Excellent understanding of design theory and practice. His students are very well prepared for real-world practice of architecture. Dean Evan Douglis, who has been leading the School for 10 years, was honored for, “Vision for the future of education and the profession. Mentorship of students and faculty. Engagement of alumni and greater community.”
The DesignIntelligence Survey is conducted annually, and includes responses from employers, educators and students nationwide.
