The inaugural lecture for 2019 Building Science Lecture Series exploring building sciences in the 21st Century will kickoff next Wednesday, February 27th, 12.30 pm in the Greene Gallery, with the lecture by Sharif Khalje, Heintges & Associates. This lecture to open to the whole school.
Heintges Consulting Architects & Engineers P.C. is an award-winning professional firm offering the highest level of expertise in the design and implementation of the building envelope. Since 1989, Heintges has designed and consulted on more than 150 million square feet of curtain wall and exterior cladding for projects throughout the U.S. and in 24 other countries. Heintges works with visionary architects and owners throughout the world, and have designed and consulted on some of the most prestigious cultural projects, including the renovation of the United Nations Headquarters, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, Museum of the Bible, the World Trade Center Transportation Hub, the new Whitney Museum of American Art, Lincoln Center, the Tower at PNC Plaza and the Museum of Modern Art. Heintges has offices in New York and San Francisco.
Sharif Khalje is a Senior Associate at Heintges in New York City, where he has worked as a facade consultant with some of the leading Architecture firms in the world, including Foster and Partners, Pelli Clarke Pelli, Adjaye Associates, Thomas Phifer and Partners, OMA and SHoP Architects. He has previously worked for the Buell Center for the Study of American Architecture, Rafael Vinoly Architects and Gensler. He holds his Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, is a member of the American Institute of Architects and a registered Architect in the State of New York.
