Blast-Off! Discussion: BENNET & PACHECO
Adjunct Professor Christianna Bennett and Adjunct Professor Katrina Pacheco will host this semester’s Blast-Off! Career Discussion Event. These two ladies will share their experiences in the male-dominated profession of architecture and explain how they ended up where they are today.
Christianna Bennett is a recent graduate of the professional Master of Landscape Architecture degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. She has over four years professional experience in architecture, landscape architecture, and multidisciplinary engineering practices, with additional experience as a research assistant and publications editor. Her interests include landscape histories, experimental and theoretical practices, cultural heritage, and the landscape histories of Northern New York.
Katrina Pacheco received a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute back in 1993. She worked as a Senior Draftsman at Tap, Inc, then as Project Manager at Pacheco Ross Archiects, until the company was bought and absorbed into H2M Architects + Engineers. She now works at the Pacheco Ross Architects Division of H2M as a project manager. Pacheco is a member of the AIA and LEED certified. Her interested include affordable and sustainable architecture.
