Student Zachary Pearson Recognized in International Design Competition

RPI Student Zachary Pearson and team Recognized in International Design Competition

Rensselaer School of Architecture’s Zachary Pearson, along with Seizen Uehara, Belèn Pizarro, and Àngela Ferrero from Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (UNC, Argentina), entered ISARCH’s International Competition for architecture students. This past week, it was announced that they received Special Honorable Mention as one of the top 10 projects overall. This was determined by both a select judging panel and public voting. The jury was composed of Tomislav Dushanov, Associate HERZOG & DE MEURON, Alexandros Kallegias, Senior Architect at Zaha Hadid Architects, Filipe Magalhães, Ana Luisa Soares and Ahmed Belkhodja, Ben van Berkel, Founder/Principal Architect UNStudio, Kenzo Tange Chair at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Joshua Prince-Ramus, Founder/Principal /President at REX, and FLORES & PRATS.

Their project, Dystopian Reality, received over 140 votes, making it the 7th most supported project out of 168 entries.

The proposal was developed within the framework of of join-studio with UNC, as part of SoA / RPI semester-abroad Program in Latin American.
