Architecture Rensselaer is thrilled to announce the 2nd edition of the Latin American Program in the Fall of 2018.
The semester abroad in Latin America aims to actively engage students with the various architectural scenes in Latin America by establishing different itineraries for each edition. The 2016 edition covered a geographical arc connecting the Pacific and Atlantic in the southern cone through Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. The program included academic residencies at the schools of architecture of Universidad Nacional de Cordoba (Argentina), Universidad de Chile (Santiago, Chile) and Universidad de Valparaiso (Valparaiso, Chile) where joint-studios, seminars, and other activities were developed together with local students and faculty. The program also included faculty-led trips to Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Salta, Mendoza and Chiloe. The 2018 edition will broaden and further expand our relationship with the region.
