Kallipoliti Awarded Honorable Mention at Shenzhen Biennale
Assistant Professor Lydia Kallipoliti was awarded Honorable Mention for her seven city manifestos by the independent jury of the UABB Shenzhen Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2015. As part of the Bi-City Biennale of Architecture & Urbanism held in Shenzhen, China, Kallipoliti presented the project “Autonomy & Autodigestion”. She is also served as an invited panelist and an academic adviser at the Radical Urbanism conference, as part of the opening ceremony of the Biennale exhibition. The project was in collaboration with Meg Studer and with the assistance of undergraduate students Royd Zhang (B.Arch) and Ellen Wong (B.Arch) served as research assistants for the “Autonomy & Autodigestion” project and exhibition.
On December 7th, also Kallipoliti gave a public lecture entitled “Untimely: A Counter History of Environmental Architecture” at the University of Saint Joseph in Macau, Faculty of Creative Industry.
