The Knotted Construct

Without words and without knowing, we universally interact in ‘Gesture’. The studio began with this gesture between two individual students attempting to communicate with each other outside their usual realms. Via a number system or a material to sync a singular goal. The ‘Gesture’ is then framed and recorded by means of photography and video. The individual undergoes a series on analysis drawings, makings and searchings for the ‘XYZ’. This begins to inform a ‘Joint’ of collapsing directions and communicative means. This is then placed on a given ‘Grid’, which births a ‘Field’ of neighboring elements influencing each other. Neighboring by a order or words and sentences to guide their mutation. A ‘Passage’ is formed to guide light and meaning in and out of this ‘Field’. Our eyes begin to come into focus as one travels through in and out of it. Our new knowing is in place, and our words are our tools, this new ‘Passage’ informs us of the endless scaled possibilities.
